He came. He observed. Raindrops, origami peace cranes,... & candy. Argh!
My mentor teacher, Autumn Breitwieser, sat in on our post observation conversation. She kindly asked and I welcomed her company since we are both learning side by side. How incredibly supported I feel. How lucky I am (personal observation!)
This process reminds me of the benefit and need of immediate feedback as well as a strong sense of humor.
Perspective.
In gratitude.

Mr. Liss is due to come observe me again tomorrow, snowflakes permitting.

Through my visit with Mr. Liss, I have new and improved ideas on how to work on the opening and closing/dismissal of my class. I am working on grabbing my student's attention and reclaiming and maintaining what I feel is important, holding my ground, versus feeling hurried and challenged by those same students.
